New ITTIA DB SQL Release on Android Enhances Data Distribution

February 23, 2015 — Bellevue, WA — ITTIA, the global supplier of database for embedded devices introduces a new release of its flagship database, ITTIA DB SQL for Android. With this new release data will be always high available for applications developed on Android.

Many Android applications must be highly available, but cannot compromise performance. A high-availability offered by ITTIA DB SQL infrastructure provides automatic and transparent preservation and protection of critical data. As a result of data being highly available, Android devices are continuously operational. ITTIA DB SQL has thoroughly been tested and it delivers reliability and great performance.

In addition, ITTIA DB SQL is a relational database suitable for Android data to be easily shared between threads in an Activity, Activities in an app process, applications on a device, and devices on a network. By performing synchronous replication on designated tables, changes in the table are automatically applied to other database sites. When a transaction is committed, changes are sent to other participates using a distributed commit over all participating peers. As a result, committing a transaction will only succeed if all replication peers accept the changes.
