ITTIA DB SQL Database 7 Supports Android Platform

December 7, 2015 — Bellevue, WA — ITTIA announces the availability of ITTIA DB SQL for Android to empower mobile and embedded software developers to manage, share and communicate data stored in ITTIA DB SQL on embedded systems and mobile devices.

ITTIA DB SQL is a relational embedded database for special-purpose systems that require self-contained data management software. Android is a platform designed for mobile devices and the combination of ITTIA DB SQL and Android empowers mission-critical applications to store and access data stored on mobile systems and shared with back-end databases. This offering includes high availability, replication, concurrency, security and many more for ARM Linux developers.

The combination of ITTIA DB SQL and Android devices also offers improved data distribution, maturity, and cost savings to embedded developers. The data distribution facility offered by ITTIA DB allows developers to synchronize selected tables and rows in a back-end RDBMS, such as SQL Server®. This flexibility is intended to allow applications to reduce overhead, protect access to data, and prevent conflicts. Conflicts are automatically detected whenever a shared row is modified both in the back-end and on the device, and can be resolved either through simple rules or custom stored procedures.
