Description

Data management is revolutionizing the entire experience across the automotive industry, for automotive manufacturers, Tier 1s, maintenance services, drivers, dealers, and insurance companies alike. Large amounts of data are generated by vehicles, drivers, and passengers, in various forms. Smart devices built with electronic control units (ECUs) such as powerful S32G from NXP are now able to run data collection campaigns and convert that data into valuable information before it leaves the vehicle.

Prerequisites

  • Access to internet and required equipment to attend the session online
  • Basic familiarity with database fundamentals, C, and C++
  • You will receive an ITTIA DB evaluation license for the workshop

Objectives

Every manufacturer, including established and newly disruptive ones, has specific data processing and data management requirements. Join our workshop and learn what the impact of device data management will be on monetization in the auto industry with ITTIA DB and S32G.  You will rapidly learn:

  • The importance of edge time-series streaming, analysis and storage inside the vehicle
  • How to monitor for and capture important events with real-time continuous queries
  • Techniques for analyzing and managing time-series data stored on an ECU
  • The benefits of ITTIA DB database on NXP S32G automotive platform for SDV

Agenda

Our goal is to rapidly empower you to learn and experience how to build data collection campaigns for time series data processing and data management on modern ECUs, such as S32G.

Part 1: Getting ahead of fast edge data flood for SDVs

  • Run examples that process and monitor live IoT sensor data
  • Real-time stream query processing and data storage
  • Continuously combine, filter, aggregate, and downsample data
  • Importance of ingestion rate, query latency, export throughput
  • Optimizing data collection campaigns for timestamped data

Part 2: Mastering SDV embedded data management

  • Deploy high availability with mirroring, fault tolerance, and backup
  • Engineering data security for ECU applications
  • Covering all the data management bases: MPUs, MCUs, and ECUs
  • Concurrently process transactional and analytical queries (HTAP)
  • Integration challenges: hardware, RTOS, file system, etc.
