In a day when the high-tech business world is moving increasingly towards aesthetics over functionality, ITTIA is taking steps to make its open source offering more available, enhancing the usability of its website and is releasing the February issue of its newsletter.
Sandia National Laboratories is in charge of providing the technologies that secure the United States’ national nuclear stockpile, and developing solutions to protect civilian and military targets against other weapons of mass destruction.
Demonstrating the strength of the open-source development paradigm, the new release of db.* is on-track for a Q4 2004 launch date. The next release of db.* incorporates functionality improvements, bug fixes and suggestions and code from Club ITTIA members to further improve this already-strong open-source database. ITTIA is also offering db.* test suites to Club ITTIA members.
It started as a slow drip, and has developed into a full stream: magazines and websites worldwide are talking about Club ITTIA (the ITTIA embedded database community) membership and database offerings such as db.*, the high-performance small-footprint open source database.
Today, ITTIA launched db.*, an open source, powerful, small footprint embedded database for open-source platforms, and made it available on the ITTIA web site.
