Advanced Synchronization & Data Distribution
ITTIA DB SQL has introduced several new features that enhance the way applications distribute and share data in embedded systems.
- Android. Build apps that synchronize data with a back-end database, or just store huge amounts of data on an SD card with ITTIA DB SQL for Android.
- Ruby and Lua. Scripting language support makes applications more flexible and is ideal for embedded web servers. Applications can now access ITTIA DB SQL through the versatile Ruby Sequel and the extremely compact LuaSQL.
- Replication on Commit. Configure a database to automatically replicate every transaction to one or more peer databases, on another storage media or another device. Data integrity is preserved by two-phase commit.
- Table Snapshots. Pick a table in one database and ITTIA DB SQL will create a snapshot of the table's data in another database. ITTIA DB compares the source and destination and only sends the differences.
- ITTIA DB Synch. Connect ITTIA DB SQL databases on a device to a back-end enterprise RDBMS with a new synchronization tool.
- Improved Change Notification. Events can now contain a copy of the primary key, modified values, bound values, or all values in the new and original rows.
- Atomic Page Writes. When storage hardware can't prevent an incomplete page write, ITTIA DB SQL can step in to ensure than no data is ever lost.
- Extensive Testing. We redoubled our quality assurance efforts, extensively testing rare edge cases, low memory scenarios, and platform failures.
Evaluation kits are available for Windows, Linux, Windows CE, QNX, and Android.
